Obituary of Norma Alma Bendfeld

It is with sadness, but thankfulness for a life well lived, that the family of Norma Bendfeld, formerly of Heisler, announce her passing on May 17, 2016. Norma was born March 8, 1920. She lived most of her life on the farm near Heisler, later moving to Killam, Providence Place in Daysland & Bethany Meadows in Camrose. She was predeceased by her loving husband Verner, an infant son, grandsons Andrew and Michael, son-in-law Darwin Bailey, parents Benidict and Catherine Zaczkowski and brother Alquin (Julia) Zaczkowski. She is remembered and sadly missed by her eight children Ron (Bonnie), Ed (Renie), Bob (Saundra), Patricia Lang (Ken), Dennis (DonaMae), Glennis Bailey, Mary Anne (Diane) and Bill; 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; brothers-in-law Joe (Eileen) Bendfeld and Raymond Bendfeld as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be held Sunday, May 22 from Fee & Son’s Funeral Home in Killam at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Killam on Monday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery (rural Strome). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter’s cemetery fund or a charity of the donor’s choice.
