Obituary of Gordon "Pete" Charles Curtis

Pete was born September 3, 1922 at Strome. He passed away on October 11th, 2016 at the Daysland Hospital at the age of 94. Pete was committed to his family, his community, the construction industry and hunting. His recall of the events in his life and attention to detail will live on through the stories he told to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his son David (Charlotte), daughter Joan (Charles Stoddart), daughter-in-law Pat, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his brother Buster (Myrna) and brother-in-law Phillip Rawe as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Pete was predeceased by his wife Mina, sons Rodney and Bruce, great granddaughter Elizabeth, parents Guy and Emma, sisters Blanche, Alice, Harriet, Lois and brother Jim. A Memorial Service for Pete will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Strome Community Hall at 2:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Rosevale Cemetery, the Strome Historical Society or a charity of one’s choice.
