Obituary of Rita Spiller

It is with great sorrow that Rita's family announces her passing on July 3rd, 2013 at St. Joseph's Palliative Care in Edmonton at the age of 79 years. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Harry & Helen Spiller, and her sisters, Helen Magyar and Mary Anne Spiller. Rita is survived by her brothers, George (Therese), Don (Audrey), and sisters, Gwen (Ed) Kroetch, Fran (Andy) Blashyn, Joanne (Fred) Lewis, Darina (Jim) Jurasek, and Linda Martel, plus numerous nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all her family and friends. Our deep gratitude goes out to the nurses and staff of the 3rd floor Palliative Care Unit at St. Joseph's for their kind and compassionate care. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15th, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Killam, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rita may be made to the St. Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital Foundation at 10707 - 29 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6J 6W1 or a charity of the donor's choice.
