Obituary of Margaret Thomas

Margaret Thomas was born on October 20, 1916 to James and Elsie Gascoyne at the Gascoyne homestead at Bell's Hill. She passed away at the Killam Extended Care on August 24, 2013 at the age of 96 years. She leaves to mourn her passing, her sons Robert (Marilyn), Lloyd (Evelyn), Alan (Carol), Ken (Kathy), Henry, Mike (Audrey); daughter Louise (Wayne); thirty-four grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two brothers Norman and George (Olive). Margaret was predeceased by her husband Sebastian "Red"; three sons Garry, Ralph and Lee; five brothers David, Herb, Arthur, Terry and Lawrence; three sisters Violet, Esther and Mona. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Alliance Community Hall. Interment will take place in the Battle Bend Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Battle Bend Cemetery, the Alliance United Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
