Obituary of Lillian Stromquist
Ruth Lillian Stromquist was born to Olaf and Matilda Pearson at Metiskow, Alberta on September 27, 1918 and passed away in the Killam Long Term Care Centre on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the age of 95 years.
She is survived by two sons, Gordon (Mary) Stromquist of Amisk and Raymond (Kim) Stromquist of Calgary; one daughter Sonia Myhr of Killam; two younger sisters Bertha Ryhason of Edmonton and Emmy Munson of BC; 11 grandchildren Jeff (Nicole), Laurie, Doretta (Rob), Tanya (Matthias), Darcy (Chandal), Dereck, Dustin (Erynn), Jessica, Tracy (Greg), Justin (Chelsey) and Samantha; 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband George; daughter Arlene and husband Pete Harding; a stillborn baby girl on May 3, 1942; 7 sisters and 3 brothers.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Hughenden Bethany Lutheran Church with Pastor Eleanor Ness officiating. Interment will take place in the Amisk Bethany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethany Cemetery or a charity of the donor's choice.
