Obituary of Emil Miller

It is with great sadness we announce the passing away of Ivan Emil Miller of Killam, AB on Monday, April 7, 2014. Ivan was a father, grandfather and great grandfather that lived his life to the fullest and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anybody that asked. He spent much of the last fifteen years volunteering in the town, whether it be at the Long Term Care Unit of the hospital, the seniors centre or doing meals on wheels. He often spoke of the "old folks" that enjoyed helping and spending time with, while he was often older then they were! His life revolved around commitments to these and other causes. He enjoyed being with his many friends and doing his wood projects, floor curling or any odd job they might ask of him. He will be missed greatly. At this time Ivan's family would like to express great appreciation to Dr. Hanton and the staff at the Killam General Hospital for the wonderful care they gave Dad, and to Ivan's very good friends, thank you so very much for being there for him. Ivan's wishes were that there be no funeral or memorial service. His family will be respecting his wishes and as such there will be no service. Memorial donations in memory of Ivan may be made to the Killam Long Term Care.
