Obituary of Ida Jahns

Ida Inga Jahns was born to Andreas and Theophilia Disterheft at Bialobloty, Poland on December 12, 1916 and passed away in the Galahad Care Centre on April 18, 2015 at the age of 98 years 4 months. She is survived by her son, Carl (Diane) Jahns of Forestburg, 6 grandchildren: Russel Jahns of Vancouver, BC, Suzanne (Dan) Moore of Banff, Kristin Jahns of Edmonton, Leslie (Kevin) Janzen of Drayton Valley, Matthew Jahns of Halifax, NS and Stephen Jahns of Edmonton; 2 great grandchildren: Wyatt and Luke Janzen; and sister: Emma Jahns and sister-in-law: Martha Disterheft as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Ida was predeceased by her husband, Rudolf Jahns (1991), her son, Walter Jahns (1992) and daughter-in-law, Dianne Jahns (2006), her son, Edward Jahns (1981), and her grandson, David Jahns (2011).
