Obituary of Marcella Trufitt
Mother and Grandmother, Marcella Rose Trufitt was born July 15, 1945 in Pincher Creek, Alberta to Wendel and Hilaria Leins.
After a lengthy illness, she passed away peacefully on August 13, 2015 at the age of 70 years at the Killam Continuing Care Centre.
Marcella was the 6th child of 7 children. From Pincher Creek, Marcel and her family moved to a farm in Wyndel, B.C. When Marcel was 19, she and her dad travelled to Europe to visit her family history and relatives. This was the start of many trips after.
In around 1965, Marcella moved up to Burns Lake for work and that is where she met her husband Paul. They were married in 1968. Two years later, their daughter Marie Anne was born and two years after that Michael Antony was born.
In 2002, Marcel and Paul moved to Galahad, Alberta where they have resided ever since and have made many special friends in that time.
Marcella will be greatly missed but always remembered by her children Marie (Andy) Seminuk and Mike Trufitt and her grandchildren Devin (Amanda) Seminuk and Garett Seminuk. She will be missed by numerous other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.
Marcella is survived by her husband of 47 years, Paul James Trufitt and sisters Ann Stoughton, Miriam Hillyard and brothers Joe Leins, Bernie Leins and Mark Leins.
Marcel was predeceased by her parents Wendel and Hilaria Leins, her brother Len Leins and brother-in-law Don Hillyard.
