Obituary of Dorothy Miller

Dorothy Anne Miller was born at Killam, Alberta on December 6, 1946 and passed away at the Daysland Health Centre on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the age of 65 years. She is survived by Glen, her husband of 45 years; her four children: Bruce (Elaine) Miller of Crossfield, Karen (Brian) Barg of Summerland, Lana (Ronald) Pelletier of Fort McMurray, Dennis (Peter Weirsma) Miller of Red Deer; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters Lillian (Calvin) MacPherson and Thordis Reis, and two brothers Gordon (Gaye) Backen and Lawrence (Sandra) Backen as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Melvin and Gudrun (Lundle) Backen; brothers-in-law Garry Miller and Fred Reis. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Alliance Community Hall with Reverend Jope Langejans officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Alliance Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Galahad Care Centre or a charity of the donor's choice.
