Obituary of Ivor Nash
Ivor Garth Nash passed away at his home near Forestburg on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at the age of 62.
Ivor was born at Edmonton, grew up there and in Calgary, and later lived in Sylvan Lake, the Queen Charlotte Islands, Red Deer, Trail BC, and since 1981, Forestburg. Most of Ivor's working life was spent at the Atco Power facility near Forestburg. He lived in the town and then at a nearby acreage, and greatly enjoyed the plant, community, and area. Ivor was active in the community and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors generally.
Ivor was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Severna of Red Deer, in the 1980's, and by his brother Larry of Red Deer in May 2011. He is survived by his brother Phil (Jennifer) of Wetaskiwin, his friend Nathan Kuefler, nieces Amy, Elizabeth, and Heather Nash, nephew Dave Nash, and several great- nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Bethel United Church, Forestburg. Memorial donations in memory of Ivor may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
