Obituary of Irvin Bethge

Irvin Wilfred Bethge was born to Otto and Katherene Bethge on August 27, 1926 in Irma, Alberta. He passed away in the Hardisty Hospital on July 3, 2018 at the age of 91 with his wife Joyce of 66 years at his side.

He is survived by his wife Joyce, son Irvin Jr. (Donna) and their children Steve, Shane (Jennifer) and Sheldon; daughter Kathy (Loren) and their children Malcolm (Tracy) and Blair (Jenna). He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Faith, Dominic, Evan, Dawson, Owen, Nate, Hayden and Quinn, two sisters Erna, Elsie and his brother Ron.

Irvin was predeceased by his parents Otto and Katherene Bethge, father and mother-in-law Wilfred and Violet Newth, his sisters Helen and Millie and brothers Jack, Paul, Clarence and Fritz.

Memorial donations in memory of Irvin may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

A graveside service will be held at the Bethany Cemetery, Amisk on Friday, July 13th at 2:30 pm. Fellowship and lunch will take place at the Amisk Senior Centre following the service.
