Obituary of Phyllis Lawson
Phyllis Lawson passed peacefully in her sleep on the morning of July 20, 2018, at the Long Term Care in Killam, just over two months short of her 98th birthday. She was born October 1, 1920, in Athabasca, Alberta to Stan and Charlotte Harps and was raised at Ghost Lake.
She moved to Killam in the mid-1940’s and married Craig Lawson in 1948. She was employed by the Killam Co-op for years before retiring. Mom was active in the Presbyterian Church and Rebecca Lodge. Survived by son Bill, sister June, brother Roger and wife Irene, and numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
