Obituary of Roman Jahns
Roman Wilhelm Jahns was born on December 24, 1943, and passed away on September 6, 2018, at the age of 74 years.
Romie was proud of being a farmer. He loved the land, the cattle, horses and the wide open spaces. His biggest love was his family: his loving wife of 53 years, Carol (Dahl) Jahns; his daughter Marilyn (Jahns) Knievel and her husband Bernie; his beloved granddaughters Carmen Knievel (Jacob) and Kristen Knievel (Connor).
He was predeceased by his parents Wilhelm and Hilda Jahns, his brother Vern Jahns, brother-in-law Allen Hoven and sister-in-law Mathilda Dahl.
Romie is also survived by his Aunt Emma Jahns, numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15th at the Forestburg Community Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Forestburg Enhancement Fund (riding arena), Kids With Cancer Society or the Galahad Auxiliary.
