I am so sorry to hear of your loss Shirley and my heartfelt thoughts are with you in this difficult time. You and Gordie were such an important part of my life for so many years, from the time I started coming to your house as a girl when you did mom's hair through all the years of my returning to Killam. Coming to your place for coffee and conversation was always a highlight of each and every trip. You and Gordie were true and constant friends, much beloved of mom, dad and me. May you find comfort in the love of your family and memories of an extraordinary partnership with a wonderful man.

My Dearest Aunt Shirley and Family, I could never tell you with mere words what Uncle Gordie and you as well, Aunt Shirley, have meant to me. Although we have been separated by a few thousand miles and sometimes years it has never diminished the love I have for you, and whenever we see each other we just pick right back up where we left off. Uncle Gordie had a way of making everyone feel like they were his favorite person. His generosity and hospitality were and still are an inspiration to me. He, along with my dad, had a way of owning whatever event they were at, everyone just gravitated towards them. I do so miss those times, what grand times they were. I am so grateful for the brief visit I was able to enjoy with you both this summer, Aunt Shirley, they are memories I will treasure forever. I Love You and you are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray God comforts all of you as only He can. Your Loving Niece, Marie

Dear Aunt Shirley and family, I am very saddened to hear of Uncle Gordon's passing. Although we lived far away, the times I did get to spend with Uncle Gordon are memories I cherish. I remember the crib games, to the bantering, the laughter and smiles. May you all find comfort and peace in your memories, in your love. You all have my deepest sympathy in this difficult time. There will come a time when you will feel Gordon's presence more than his absence on this earth. God bless you Uncle Gordon, may you rest in peace.

Aunt Shirley. When I was 13 years old I spent part of the summer with Grandpa and Grandma Dammann. The most fun I had was going next door to your house. My Uncle Gordie was always fun to be around. I admired his "colorful" personality. Quick with a smile. He often had a stogie in his mouth. He seemed to have limitless energy. Such a fun guy. I'll miss him. My condolences to you.
