Ron and Rosemary Weeks
Joe was my brother. Reflecting on our big family, it seems I did not have much time with him. It was crazy times and we were just trying to survive. I remember Joe as being incredibly sensitive and wanting to have close relationships but it was a battle with all of our siblings going in so many different directions. We all grew up knowing that Bernice died in a house fire on Joe's first birthday think how unimaginable it could be. I think that he carried that with him because that is what we always talked about on his birthday. Can anyone imagine how awful that would be? I look at the photos of him as an innocent little boy - so cute. I didn't even realize he was only 4 years older than me. I am sorry that are lives separated us for so long. I am so glad that he had a wife and daughter who loved him so much. I am shocked every time cancer can take one of us that fast but cannot deny that a short time of suffering and time to say goodbye to your loved ones is a blessing. Joe is my first sibling to pass is this is an awakening. I wish Connie and Ashley and your family all the best as you move forward without your partner and father. Lucille
Always so friendly and kind and full of good laughter and good times. His nature will be missed by all that spent time with him. My condolences to his family .
