Obituary of Annie Oliver
Annie Oliver was born to Fred and Tekla Groshko at their home in Edson, Alberta on August 17, 1925 and passed away peacefully on February 2, 2016 at the Hardisty Health Center at the age of 90 years.
She is survived by her children Ken (Loretta) Oliver, Roger Oliver, Gary (Donna) Oliver, and daughter Theresa (Dean) Armstrong; eight grandchildren Denise Oliver (Cody Babchuk), Sheldon (Tanis) Oliver, Angela (Robert) Carmichael, Trent Oliver, Chelsea Mayne, Kirk (Danielle) Armstrong, Brad (Stephanie) Armstrong, and Callie (Ryan) Piller; eleven great grandchildren Haley Burns, Karsen Oliver, Robert, Olivia and Ireland Carmichael, Greysen Mayne, Elouise and Oliver Armstrong, Jensen Armstrong, and Jax and Ryder Piller; her brother Nick Groshko; her sister and brother-in-law Donnie (Bill) Kmet; her sister-in-law Myrna Lehr; and many nieces and nephews.
Annie was predeceased by her loving husband Elvin; her sisters Mary (John) Bohoslawyc and Francis (Adolph) Abram; her brothers John (Audrey) Groshko and Peter Groshko; her sister-in-law Vivian Groshko; her in-laws Everette (Flora) Oliver, Orval (Florence) Oliver, Eileen (Lloyd) Hintz, Myrtle (Lee) Smith and Roger Lehr; her grandson-in-law Brendyn Mayne; her nieces Loretta Oliver, Shirley Betholet and Sophia Williamson; nephews Leanard Smith, Curtis Lehr, Mark Lehr, Nick Romaniuk and great nephews Walter Williamson and Jordan Radcliffe; her parents Fred and Tekla Groshko; and her Father and Mother-in-law Earl and Ella Oliver.
Memorial donations in memory of Annie may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Please join with the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments to be served here in the hall after the service and interment.
