Obituary of Shaunet Colleen Wetthuhn

Shaunet Colleen Wetthuhn was born to Colin and Zona McLennan on August 6, 1954, and passed away on January 27, 2017 at the age of 62 years. Shaunet had a true passion and love for her yard. She spent many hours cutting grass, trimming trees and taking care of her flowers. If she was not outside she was in the kitchen baking bread, buns and putting her special touch on a recipe old or new. The house always smelled so good you would make room even if you just ate. Shaunet adored her grandkids and when they were around they had her undivided attention. Ben and Shaunet's little dog Sully was spoiled rotten by her and was never too far from her heel. Shaunet loved fishing with Ben and taking little day trips, they were fortunate to create many memories seeing many special things over the years. Shaunet will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 43 years, Ben; their children, Bret (Chanel) Wetthuhn and their daughters, Hanah and Kori; Ryan (Carlene) Wetthuhn and their sons, Luke and Cale; Amanda (Darcey) Job and their daughters, Kacey and Jessie; her sisters, Patti Shaw (Jack Sparrow); Chris (Ray) Coates; Brother, Bill (Kathy) McLennan; mother-in-law, Margaret Wetthuhn; sister-in-law, Donna Jones; brother-in-law, Dan Wetthuhn and many numerous nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Shaunet was predeceased by her parents, Colin and Zona McLennan; father-in-law, Earl Wetthuhn and brother-in-law George Shaw. A private family service will be held. A public fellowship will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at the Killam Senior Centre. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Shaunet may be made to the Diabetes Association, the Cancer Society or the SPCA.
