Obituary of Lorraine Frost
Lorraine Amy Christine Frost (nee Carson) was born April 3, 1919 and passed away December 13, 2017 at Providence Place in Daysland at the age of 98.
She is survived by daughter Shelia (Axel), son Wes (Jean), five grandchildren, Kim (Dave), Lisa, Ryan (Heather), Cheryl (John) and Mitchell; eleven great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jason, Ashlyn, Bryson, Denise, Ethan, Alyse, Haley, Cora, Avery and Joel; sister in law Hazel Carson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Pat, her sister Elaine Lundell and brothers Thorne and Carmen Carson.
Her interests and hobbies included sewing, reading gardening, camping, fishing and dancing.
As well as being an avid reader, she also loved writing. One of her numerous poems is published in the local history book. Lorraine and Pat were usually the first couple on the dance floor, they were one of the most frequent couple dancing and one of the last ones to leave.
Spending time with her grandchildren was always a priority for Lorraine, helping them learn to garden, sew or read.
She was a long-standing member of the Lougheed Women's Institute and a founding board member of the Lougheed Public Library. She was also a member of the Rebecca Lodge.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lougheed Community Hall on Friday, January 12th at 2:00 p.m. Refreshments and fellowship to follow.
Memorial donations may be made to Lougheed Cemetery, Lougheed Public Library or to a charity of donor's choice.
