Obituary of Eileen Goossen

Mary “Eileen” Goossen was born to Fred and Mary Smith at Vermilion, Alberta on  October 20, 1932, and passed away at Viking, Alberta on June 13, 2019, at the age of 86 years.

Eileen married Ernie Ruud in 1949 and to this union they had six children.  On June 18, 1983 she married Slim Goossen.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years Slim (Landis) Goossen, sister-in-law Connie, her six children Ed (Gail), Bob (Sherry), Linda (Cliff), Beverly, Jim (Jet), David (Alina), twelve grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and numerous relatives and friends.

Eileen was predeceased by her grandson Bradley, son-in-law Brad, brother Clayton, and her parents Fred and Mary Smith.

There will be no funeral service held.  Memorial donations in memory of Eileen may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
