The memories are heartfelt knowing Doug’s entire family being we were neighbours on the farm south of Sedgewick. Growing up in Strome, Mr Munro was a neighbor, an inspiration, and a teacher that helped shaped the person I am today. He taught fairness, perseverance and integrity. He was a great coach...and the lessons he taught while playing fastball and all other school sports have carried over in my life. My sincere condolences to the entire family. He was a stellar gentleman....and could run like the wind.

Mr. Munro was my mentor! When he taught in Strome he was the best! He was my baseball coach, gymnastics coach and gym teacher. If it wasn’t for Mr. Munro I would not have become the person I am today! I now work in the school system and everyday I put my heart into my job just like he did. I will never forget him! He was a great man!
