Obituary of Donald Fredrick Lewis

Donald "Fred" Lewis was born to Jake and Josephine Lewis at Killam, Alberta on February 25, 1943 and passed away suddenly at home on November 22, 2020 at the age of 77 years. Fred was the nineth of ten children born to Jake and Josephine Lewis. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joanne; one son, Michael (Andrea) Lewis of Killam; one daughter, Joleen (Darren) Blaeser of Killam; four grandchildren, Kirklynd Blaeser, Rheana Blaeser, Mckayla Lewis and Barrett Lewis; three brothers, Cecil Lewis, Raymond (Margaret) Lewis, Daniel (Gert) Lewis; one sister, Shirley (Keith) Gillespie; three sisters-in-law, Bernice Lewis, Clara Lewis and Mary Ann Lewis; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Mother on December 29, 1953 at 52 years of age and Father on November 24, 1976 at 92 years of age; sisters, Dorothy O’Riordan on January 11, 1984, Mamie Lewis on February 28, 2005; brothers, Charlie on September 14, 2000, Orvil on January 29, 1996, and Bill on November 19, 2004; sister in law, Betty Lewis on August 28, 2014 and brother in law, Frederick O’Riordan on December 13, 2011. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cancer/Breast Cancer Foundation, MS Society, STARS or a charity of donor’s choice.
